BPS-21/ TTS

Minimum Qualification for Professor

Ph.D. from an HEC recognized Institution in the relevant field.

15-years teaching/research experience in HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.

At least 8 years Post Ph.D. level experience in an HEC recognized university or postgraduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization will be required.

OR

10-years post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience in a recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization

The applicant must have 15 research publications with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years in HEC recognized journals. 
Minimum Number of Publications

The applicant must have 15 research publications with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years in HEC recognized journals.

Minimum Qualification for Professor Under TTS

Ph.D. from an HEC recognized institution in the relevant field.

11-years post Ph.D. teaching/research experience in a recognized University OR a post-graduate institution Or professional experience in the relevant field in a national Or international research organization.
OR
7-years of Post-Ph.D. experience with at least 12-years of experience prior to Ph.D. (3-years of Pre-Ph.D. experience will be counted Post-Ph.D. experience, counting all fractions) teaching/research experience in a recognized University OR a post-graduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international research organization.

15-reseach publication (with at least 5-publications in the last 5-years), recognized for the purpose of appointment on TTS by HEC.

Successfully supervised 1-Ph.D Or 10-M.Phil. theses as Supervisor OR have one postdoc. Experience of 6-months duration from Foreign University/ Institute. However, candidates coming from R&D organization, with at least 6-years of experience there, must have produced a Ph.D. or one patent OR 10-Publications above the minimum number required.

For the purpose of appointment on Tenure Track by the Higher Education Commission, i.e. research papers published in journals that fall under the category W, X and Y for Social Sciences while for Science disciplines paper published in only W category (impact factor) journals.

1.

i). Applicants for the above positions are required to submit two copies of the applications/dossiers alongwith detailed CV and a soft copy of dossier in PDF form (CD/DVD) with a Pay Order, Bank Draft or paid Challan (only HBL, QAU branch) for Rs.2000/- (Non-refundable) drawn in favour of Treasurer, Quaid-i-Azam University. Applications should reach the office of the Assistant Registrar (Establishment) QAU, Islamabad within 30 days from the date of this advertisement.

Applications from abroad may be sent alongwith US $ 100 through bank draft drawn in favour of Treasurer, Quaid-i-Azam University as application fee.

3.

The candidates applying under both systems (TTS/BPS) should submit separate applications alongwith complete documents together with required pay order, bank draft etc, for each application.

4.

5.

Applicants already working in Government / Semi-Government Organizations / Autonomous Bodies should apply through proper channel by due date and submit service certificates issued by their present and former employers, failing which their applications will not be entertained. The University may entertain advance copies, if clearly mentioned.

6.

The selected candidates will be governed by the Quaid-i-Azam University / respective Centers’ Service Statutes and rules / regulations amended from time to time.

7.

Those who have previously applied for a position should apply afresh.

8.

The University/Centers/Institutes reserve the rights not to fill any position/withhold the appointment against any advertised position or to accept/reject any application without assigning any reason.

9.
