Muslim Youth university Islamabad organized Orientation Session on Safe and Informed Migration
Migrant Resource Centre provided a session to the students of Muslim youth University Islamabad focusing on information and counseling to intended migrants on safe migration and raise awareness on irregular migration and the related serious risks, in order to empower potential migrants and encourage them to make informed choices.
Mr. Shahid Naveed working as Coordinator at MRC Islamabad counsel the students in various areas, such as overseas employment, rights, and protection of migrants, access to education systems in other countries, skills development and vocational training programs in Pakistan.
While talking to University Times Hina Maqsood Country Director of Migrant Resource Centre elaborated the services of MRC and told us that Counselling is one of the core services offered at the MRC. Clients can benefit from one-to-one consultations but they can also choose to consult their Counsellors over the phone, skype or email. She added that counseling is free-of-cost and strictly confidential.
The seminar ended at the question-answer session from the students of Muslim Youth University Islamabad, which allowed attendees to deepen their understanding of migration.
